Finally, the Central Park! In fact, jogging, reading and resting at the Central Park was one of the important reasons I visited New York. After all, I accomplished reading and resting at the Park, except for jogging.
The southern gate of the Central Park. Finally, I was there!!!
Several pictures of the Park.
Peaceful New Yorkers at the Park. Fortunately, the weather was so nice when I visited the Park.
Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis Reservoir and beautiful mansions at the 5th Avenue seen across the Reservoir. As I wrote in the previous post, I really hope to live in one of those mansions if possible. A luxurious life in New York! Who dares to dislike it? :)
A duck at the Reservoir.
The Guggenheim Museum is located nearby the Central Park.
Inside pictures of the Guggenheim. Unfortunately, taking pictures of paintings is not allowed. The paintings at the Guggenheim were nice, but not so impressive as those at the MoMA. For me, the MoMA is the best!

This is Broadway. Like other places of Manhattan, Broadway was under construction, crowded, and quite dirty. The CNN signboard was there to advertise the CNN Presidential Election debate. Yes, it was the election season at that time.
Alongside Broadway, a big M&M store is located.
W New York is on Broadway. Bonus, the ad of Calvin Klein perfume. The model may be Cindy Crawford.
Broadway musicals. However, I didn't see the Broadway musical because it was not the main events for me.
Another photo of Splendid Broadway.
Big signs of Samsung and some global companies. How much does it cost to advertise on this place?
New York cop with a horse. I don't know riding a horse in Manhattan is effective for patrol. Those cops with horse are for tourists.
A Toys 'R Us store in New York, a dream place for kids. Of course, Kung Fu Panda was released in that summer season.
A big sign of ABC News.
Nasdaq signboard. Of course, even at that time, the stock market was quite gloomy. Yeah, New York is a city of finance.
A building of Parsons Design school. On the way to Village Vanguard, a famous jazz club in New York. Visiting Village Vanguard was one of main events for me.
Madison Square Garden, a place for big sports events and performances and a home court of the New York Knicks. The Borders New York, a bookstore, is at Madison Square Garden. Unfortunately, I don't have enough time to look around the Borders New York.
After wandering around over one hour, I finally found the Village Vanguard, one of holy places for jazz fans. I was quite surprised because it was much more smaller than I expected.
The stage and seats were also small. The audiences can feel music and play more due to the size of the stage.

Andy received the Roger's serve far behind the baseline. I was not sure it was Andy's strategy, but his defensive service return made him difficult during the game.
Roger's forehand, his biggest weapon.
According to my expectation, the game was one-sided.
The second set was the inflection point of the game and the only set that was tight. However, Andy lost the second set and the game was almost over. A very sad score.
The match time at the middle of the third set. During the third set, one man yelled. " Give my money back!" Well, I was in a similar feeling. There was no thrill in the match. I really missed Rafa. :(
Roger serving at the third set.
Before the final game of the match. The match time was only 1 hour 51 minutes.
Roger waiting for the final game. What did he think? The title is mine? :)
After the final point, Roger fell down to the ground as usual. Why roger always fall down to the ground after winning the Grand Slam title even though he has more than 10 Grand Slam titles. Well, the 2008 US Open title was so special to Roger because he finally won the title at the last Grand Slam in 2008 and after falling to world No. 2.
The champ! Congrats Roger. Actually, not so much congrats. Roger is not in my favorite player list.
The award ceremony began.
The winning moment replayed at the screen. Roger's cry.
Two players before the award ceremony.
I felt Roger has more fans than any other players in New York. In other words, Roger is a New Yorkers' favorite player.
The official ceremony finally started.
Andy with the silver plate for a runner-up.
A line of photographers.
Roger with the trophy. Many players devote themselves for this moment.
Photo time for the finalists.
The ceremony from my seat.
Photo time only for Roger, one of the prestige for the champ.
Time to say goodbye to the 2008 US Open. I'll miss the fantastic memories of that day.
A close photo of the court.
Finally, the 2008 US Open trilogy ends at this post. The remaining is the here and there of New York.

Finally, I am in Arthur Ashe stadium. One shot at the bottom of the seats. My heart starts to beat! Can you feel it? :)
Because the game would start after around 30 minutes, the seats was nearly empty. Actually, the final was held on Monday afternoon because it was delayed due to rain. So, the audiences didn't come right at the start of the game. The weather was nice except for a little bit hot.
A way to my seat. My seat was at the section 208.
Andy Murray, one of the finalists, was introduced at the sign. Even though the atmosphere was getting more and more heated, the seats were still empty. :(
Time for National Anthem. The Star-Spangled Banner, the national anthem of America, was sung by Harry Connick Jr., a famous jazz pianist and actor.
The seats were still empty. I was a little bit worried at that time. :(
One big Stars and Stripes, one of the signatures of open ceremony of US Open. While the Star-Spangled Banner was played, several fighters flied over the stadium as usual.
Finally, two finalists were at the gate and interviewed.
Andy appeared on!
Also the 2007 champ!
Time for tossing a coin and deciding which player would serve first. Oh, Lexus was the main sponsor of the tournament and I received a official cap with Lexus logo at the gate. :)
A practice time. Both players have a grace ground stroke. It might take a lot of time for me to have that kind of stroke or it might be impossible. :)
A beautiful volley of Roger.
A service practice time. The match would begin in a few minutes!
The first serve of Roger. The match finally started!!!
Andy's first serve.

music 2009/03/09 23:42
In my opinion, Usher is one of the best performers in the world. Although there are so many good singers and also performers, Usher is outstanding cause he always makes a trend in pop music. Think of many young Usher-wannabe male singers.
Considering the current Korean pop music scene, especially some so-called 'Idol' bands, for example Big Bang, the young Korean singers are very good at expressing groove in their music. However, from watching Usher's performance, it'll take a little bit more time to master the groove of Black American singers with heart. There must be a gap Korean singers can't catch now between the feeling of Korean singers and that of Black American singers.
The following is the performance of Usher at the 2008 Victoria Secret. I think Victoria Secret show is a perfect match with the image of Usher.
The other one is also Usher's performance on Good Morning America, the famous ABC show, at Bryant Park, New York. Watching this kind of show frequently is one of the benefits of living in New York, my dream place to live. Compared to with above, this one is not so impressive. Of course, this one is also impressive, but considering the fact that this show is performed by Usher, it's not as good as the above.
